WIP Wednesday

After the New Year, I started quite a few small projects since I'd been doing strictly gift knitting for a while. I did start a larger project too. After finishing my Shalom cardigan, I wanted to try another cardi in a lighter weight yarn. In steps the Swinging Stripe Cardi.

It's made from Universal Yarns Deluxe Worsted in green and brown. The collar looks extra wide right now because a band will be knit and sewn onto it. I keep stressing about having enough yarn to finish, which is why half the sleeves are already knit. However, there isn't much left in the length i have at least a ball and a half left. So far so good, so this should be done fairly quickly. Oh and a friend at knitting showed me how to knit backwards, so I don't even have to flip it around every time.

  1. Really like the look of those chunky, rugby stripes. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that the yarn doesn't run out!

  2. Knitting backwards! How clever. I must learn how to do that one day.
